Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electrical system design and project leadership for commercial building projects. This role involves taking ownership of complex electrical designs, leading project teams, ensuring code compliance, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate brings both technical expertise and project management capabilities, with a proactive approach to design innovation, coordination, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for commercial buildings, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Oversee electrical load calculations, fault current analysis, and energy code compliance.
• Produce and review detailed electrical construction documents using Revit and other design tools.
• Ensure all designs meet NEC and other applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams including architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors.
• Conduct site visits to assess installation progress, perform quality control checks, and resolve field issues.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to define scope, present design concepts, and provide technical solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial buildings.
• Proficiency in Revit and electrical design software (e.g., SKM, AutoCAD).
• In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant building codes.
• Demonstrated experience managing electrical design across multiple project phases.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
• Experience with energy-efficient systems and sustainable building certifications (e.g., LEED).
• Familiarity with smart building systems, renewable energy integration, and advanced lighting controls.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead interdisciplinary coordination efforts.
