Electrical Engineer
The Electrical Engineer is accountable for troubleshooting issues from vehicle end-of-line testing and bring-up. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, root‑cause analysis, and familiarity with software-driven diagnostic testing. They will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues on autonomous vehicles.
- Perform root‑cause analysis and drive issues to resolution, including cross-team collaboration.
- Support the bring‑up and validation of autonomous vehicle systems.
- Design, execute, and analyze electrical tests.
- Develop, maintain, and improve electrical documentation and test procedures.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineers to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, troubleshooting, or validation.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
- Experience with electrical diagnostic tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, CAN diagnostics).
- Familiarity with software diagnostic tools (command line interfaces, interpreting log files).
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with a focus on root‑cause analysis.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
- Comfortable using standard business tools (spreadsheets, email, documentation tools).
- Willing and able to travel for medium durations as needed.
Preferred
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.
- Experience with autonomous or electric vehicles.
- Experience with prototype or early‑stage development engineering projects.
- Experience working in manufacturing, validation, or vehicle bring‑up environments.
Estimated Min Rate: $40.00
Estimated Max Rate: $50.00/hr+ (depends on work experience)
