Job summary

L2x Talent Solutions is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for custom automation projects in Illinois. You will support concept development, proposals, and cost estimation while creating schematics, BOMs, and panel layouts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in industrial controls, automation, or OEM equipment.
• Experience developing 2D electrical schematics and control system designs.
• Experience creating control panel layouts with 3D CAD; SolidWorks Electrical preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for BOM and project management (Prophet 21 a plus).

• Contribute to HMI development and PLC programming efforts as needed (not a primary function).

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in industrial controls, industrial automation, machine building, OEM equipment, drive systems, or a related industry.
• Experience developing 2D electrical schematics and control system designs.
• Exposure to the full project lifecycle, including component selection, system design, and quote or proposal support.
• Experience creating control panel layouts and panel designs using 3D CAD software. SolidWorks Electrical experience is preferred.
• Experience supporting purchase orders, project documentation, and manufacturing/build activities.
• Ability to provide technical support to panel builders, electricians, and manufacturing teams during system assembly.
• Experience working with ERP systems for BOM, project, or material management. Experience with Prophet 21 is a plus but not required.
