Employment Type: Full-Time

Working set up: Hybrid, 3 days in office / 2 days from home.

About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing MEP engineering firm serving the Greater Boston market, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex electrical design work across mission critical (data center), healthcare, and life sciences projects, mentor junior engineers, and play a key role in client-facing project delivery.

Reviewing and stamping construction documents, specifications, and calculations will fall under your scope, along with mentoring junior and mid-level engineers on technical standards and best practices. You'll also stay current on codes relevant to critical facilities, healthcare, and life sciences environments, including NFPA 99, NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 110, and local Massachusetts amendments.

  • Strong working knowledge of power distribution, emergency/standby power systems, UPS/generator sizing, and redundancy/resiliency requirements typical of critical facilities
  • Familiarity with cleanroom, lab, and process electrical requirements common to life sciences projects
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design/analysis software (e.g., SKM, ETAP)
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards: NEC/NFPA 70, NFPA 99, NFPA 110, IEEE, and Massachusetts state building/electrical code
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to clients and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Based in or willing to work on-site in the Boston area
Nice to Have
  • LEED accreditation
  • Experience with commissioning, arc flash studies, or building automation/controls integration
  • Prior experience managing junior engineering staff or serving as a project lead
What's on Offer
  • Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience
  • Clear path to Principal/Associate level for high performers
  • Exposure to high-profile mission critical, healthcare, and life sciences projects in the Boston market
