Compensation: Base $90-110k + Bonus (flexible range DOE)

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop closed-loop control systems for an industrial environment, including microcontroller-based instrumentation and motor controls.
- Perform circuit design and analysis of low-noise, high-precision analog instrumentation circuits.
- Design high-speed digital processing and communication circuits.
- Design and layout Printed Circuit Boards.
- Work with vendors and purchasing to select electrical components.
- Work with mechanical engineering to develop enclosures and packaging for new products.
- Assist manufacturing by developing test equipment and procedures to verify functionality of product before shipment to customers.
- Support research and development efforts relating to ultrasonic and infrared sensor technologies.
- Ensure products conform to design regulations and requirements for the US and European markets. (Including, but not limited to UL, CE, and RoHS).
- Document product features and functionality.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for R&D initiatives, from concept to prototype development, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Lead cross-functional innovation efforts and manage the R&D projects, resource allocation, risk management, and development timelines.
- Promote innovation and drive continuous improvement across the R&D team.
- Oversee intellectual property development, including patent filings and competitive technology assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 2+ years of full-lifecycle electronics and embedded systems design, including taking PCBAs into production
- Proven track record designing for motor drives (brushed/brushless), power electronics (switch mode DC, linear regulators), analog signal conditioning and circuit protection
- Hands‑on experience with communication interfaces like CAN, USB, PLC, Fieldbus or EtherNet/IP
- Able to solder surface‑mount (SMD) and through‑hole components, build test rigs and debug using oscilloscopes and DMMs.
- Proficiency in Altium Designer is preferred
- Prior background in industrial control systems, web processing or automation is preferred
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Physics, or related field
Travel Requirements:
- Infrequent travel within US and internationally; less than 10%.
