Job summary

Metric DCX in Los Angeles is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its growing Southern California team and contribute to healthcare, institutional, higher education, and mission critical projects.

Lead electrical design through construction documentation, develop layouts in Revit and AutoCAD, and collaborate with project managers to meet schedules and client requirements while performing field surveys and site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Proficient in Revit software.
• Experience on healthcare, institutional, higher education or mission critical projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design drawings and construction documents.
• Develop electrical layouts from schematic design through construction documentation.
• Assist with engineering system concepts and coordination.
• Produce and coordinate electrical plans using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Review product submittals, technical docs, and equipment data.
• Coordinate with project managers and senior engineers on requirements and challenges.
• Attend vendor meetings to review equipment applications and space needs.
• Participate in project meetings and client discussions.
• Support project schedules and ensure timely deliverables.
• Organize technical docs, calculations, and project records.
• Conduct site visits and field surveys.

Due to continued growth within their Southern California practice, they are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their growing Los Angeles office.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical engineering designs, drawings, and construction documents.
• Develop electrical system layouts from schematic design through construction documentation.
• Assist with the development and implementation of engineering system concepts.
• Produce and coordinate electrical plans using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Review product submittals, technical documentation, and equipment data.
• Coordinate with project managers and senior engineers regarding project requirements and potential design challenges.
• Meet with vendors and manufacturers to review equipment applications and space requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and client discussions.
• Support project schedules and help ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Organize technical documentation, calculations, correspondence, and project records.
• Conduct site visits, field surveys, and existing-condition assessments.
• Assist in resolving construction and design coordination issues throughout project execution.
