Qualifications

  • 0-12+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, industrial, or heavy industrial environments.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

Experience: Mid Level

Salary: $70,000 - $110,000 per year

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary engineering resource for plant electrical systems and equipment.
  • Provide technical support to production, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues impacting safety, quality, reliability, and production.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to improve equipment performance, uptime, and energy efficiency.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives.
  • Apply engineering best practices to improve asset reliability and operational effectiveness.
  • Evaluate existing systems and recommend upgrades, modifications, or modernization projects.
Capital Projects & Process Improvements
  • Develop and manage electrical and infrastructure improvement projects from concept through startup.
  • Define project scopes, schedules, budgets, and expected business outcomes.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, installation, contractor activities, and commissioning efforts.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project costs, timelines, and deliverables to achieve budget and schedule targets.
  • Support major maintenance shutdowns and outage planning activities.
Capital Planning & Strategic Support
  • Assist in developing annual capital and major maintenance plans.
  • Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, reliability improvements, and process enhancements.
  • Develop project justifications, cost estimates, and return-on-investment analyses.
  • Prepare technical specifications and scope-of-work documentation.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and equipment recommendations.
  • Work closely with purchasing, contractors, and suppliers throughout project execution.
  • Ensure all contractor work complies with site safety and operational requirements.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 0-12+ years of engineering experience within manufacturing, industrial, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting manufacturing equipment, power distribution systems, motors, drives, controls, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience working directly with maintenance and production teams in a plant environment.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
  • Experience leading capital projects and equipment installation efforts.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to support occasional off-shift work during project installations, outages, or critical equipment issues.
