Job summary

OHM Advisors is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Tennessee to lead design of commercial facilities—covering lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and IT systems. You will work with project teams, clients, and contractors to manage designs from preliminary engineering through construction documents, ensuring quality and code compliance.

You will use AGI, Bluebeam, REVIT, Excel, and SpecLink, overseeing QA across all phases, with travel to local and regional projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • PE license in Tennessee required.
  • 15+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial buildings (lighting, power, fire alarm, IT).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AGI, EasyPower or SKM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project team members, clients, contractors, and technical experts on project-related matters.
  • Utilize tools such as Bluebeam Studio, Excel, MasterSpec, and MS Word for effective communication and documentation.
  • Ensure quality assurance throughout all phases of the project.
  • Manage projects from preliminary engineering to final design, construction documents, and field inspection.

As a licensed Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to manage and execute commercial facility designs, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and IT systems. You’ll utilize software tools like AGI, Bluebeam Studio, REVIT, Excel, and SpecLink, ensuring quality assurance throughout all project phases. With expertise in power distribution, including water and wastewater treatment facilities, you’ll drive innovative solutions and ensure compliance with industry codes. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and contribute to team success will be key to delivering high-quality results.

Your Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
