Job summary

OHM Advisors in Nashville, TN seeks a licensed Electrical Engineer with 15+ years of experience in commercial building design, including lighting, power, fire alarm, and IT systems. You will lead design efforts, coordinate with project teams, clients, and contractors, and ensure compliance with codes using AGI, REVIT, Excel, and SpecLink.

The ideal candidate holds a Tennessee PE license, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, and can travel locally or regionally to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PE license in Tennessee.
• 15+ years of electrical design experience for commercial buildings.
• Experience with lighting, power, fire alarm, and IT systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of AGI, EasyPower or SKM.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project team members, clients, contractors, and technical experts on project-related matters.
• Utilize tools such as Bluebeam Studio, Excel, MasterSpec, and MS Word for documentation.
• Ensure quality assurance throughout all phases of the project.
• Manage projects from preliminary engineering to final design, construction documents, and field inspection.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE license in Tennessee.
• 15+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial buildings, including lighting, power, fire alarm, and IT systems.

As a licensed Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to manage and execute commercial facility designs, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and IT systems. You’ll utilize software tools like AGI, Bluebeam Studio, REVIT, Excel, and SpecLink, ensuring quality assurance throughout all project phases. With expertise in power distribution, including water and wastewater treatment facilities, you’ll drive innovative solutions and ensure compliance with industry codes. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and contribute to team success will be key to delivering high-quality results.
