HDR is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) team in the Indianapolis office. The role involves designing data centers for leading technology companies, with opportunities across various market sectors (Water/Wastewater, Federal, Industrial, Commercial). The engineer will mentor junior engineers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design through all project phases.
• Coordinate closely with clients, project managers, architects, and other disciplines.
• Develop construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations, and perform RFI responses.
• Review shop drawings, conduct QA/QC of construction documents, and oversee construction administration.
• Perform load calculations, track design budgets, and select equipment using vendor software.
• Attend and lead design meetings and visit project sites as required for progress monitoring and field observation reports.
• Provide construction administration services throughout construction.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting, power, systems).
• Professional engineering license recognized in the location of the position (PE or P.Eng).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power.
• Strong computer skills and capacity for leading design solutions.
