Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an onsite Electrical Engineer I in Huntsville, AL to support unmanned systems including quadcopters, helicopters, and aircraft. The role requires a B.S.

in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 0–2 years of experience, with hands-on work in RF, embedded control, FPGA, and power electronics. Candidates should be familiar with LVDS, I2C, HDMI, UART, SPI, CAN, and USB protocols, and will work on a 9/80 schedule on site with occasional travel.

Job description

- 0 - 2 years of professional experience

- Experienced using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout

- Experienced in one or more areas: Radio Frequency (RF), embedded control, FPGA

- Experienced with power electronics, including motors and lithium batteries

- Demonstrated familiarity with common industry protocols (LVDS, I2C, HDMI, UART, SPI, CAN, USB)

Plusses:

Knowledge of general Engineering fundamentals, mathematics, physics & material properties

Familiarity with Small UAV subsystems and associated software
