Job description

Responsibilities:

• Utilize engineering processes, methodologies, and tools to create and refine hardware designs, specifications, and architectures for various test stations and systems, ensuring alignment with program requirements and objectives
• Analyze customer and system requirements to develop basic architectural approaches and detailed specifications needed
• Develop high‑level and detailed designs consistent with these requirements and specifications
• Support supplier management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services such as fabrication
• Integrate products for new systems as well as upgrades to existing equipment in STL as at remote locations
• Validate designs through various methods of analysis, peer review, standalone testing
• Provide engineering support to stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of these and existing System Integration Lab (SIL) products

Basic Qualifications:

• BS Degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, mathematics or physics
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the Aerospace Industry
• Experience within a design/build or test team
• Experience with laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.)
• Experience with hardware/software integration and testing
• Experience in working with and developing hardware system of systems architectures
