Electrical Engineer

CSEngineering is looking to add an Electrical Engineer to our growing team! This position provides direct support to the Civil Units within DoD, driving design, diagnostics, project coordination, and implementation for major base infrastructure. You'll evaluate system layouts, recommend upgrades, and work closely with A/E firms and DoD partners.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Independently plan and execute work, handle problems and deviations in work assignments according to instructions, policies, training, or accepted practices. Complete work in a technically sound manner, conforming to policies and requirements. Responsible for small projects or parts of larger projects. Review operating systems for accuracy and reliability. Prepare layouts, designs, and specifications for electrical circuits, equipment, and systems. Diagnose electrical systems, investigate options, and recommend corrective actions.
2. Perform work assignments of increasing difficulty and complexity. Collect field data on electrical systems to assess status, condition, and operating parameters. Review projects for design criteria, ensuring compliance with requirements, compatibility, maintainability, and functionality. Develop project schedules, cost estimates, and statements of work for small or parts of large projects.
3. Support Civil Units within DoD through special assignments. Collaborate with professionals and specialists in planning and studies. Stay current with emerging technologies and professional developments. Participate in studies and economic analyses of new proposals. Perform standard operating and maintenance tasks related to repair, upgrade, and operation of facilities and utilities. Act as a liaison with other agencies.
4. Draft and prepare various documents including correspondence, reports, letters, briefing slides, and other electrical engineering documents. Use software such as word processors, spreadsheets, programming, and plotting software. Communicate technical information clearly to supervisors, co-workers, contractors, and regulators. Coordinate with Civil Unit shops and other organizations to address problems and recommend solutions.
5. Interact with A/E firms to provide project direction, decisions, feedback, scheduling, and final approvals. Provide consulting services and project coordination. Submit weekly activity reports.
6. Collect data and evaluate factors affecting application of electrical engineering principles, methods, and concepts.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Security Clearance: Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineer registration is preferred
• Must be a United States citizen
