Job summary

Apollo Technical LLC in the Greenville, SC area is seeking an Electrical Engineer with depth in industrial power systems to join our team. The role emphasizes design of power distribution, lighting, and grounding, supporting projects from small facility modifications to complex EPC contracts.

Ideal candidates have strong communication and collaboration skills, familiarity with NEC/ANSI/NEMA/NFPA, and are comfortable traveling to sites. PE or EIT is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and installing medium- and low-voltage distribution equipment in consulting engineering and construction environments.
• Familiar with NEC, ANSI, NEMA and NFPA codes.
• Ability to manage onsite plant projects with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Design power system facilities and equipment, and coordinate construction, operation, and maintenance of electric power generating, receiving, and distribution stations and systems.
• Develop conceptual layouts and sketches to drive efficient design on a project-by-project basis.
• Participate in the planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating of detailed phases of electrical engineering projects.
• Develop equipment specifications.
• Develop construction specifications and contractor scope of work documents.
• Direct preparation of or prepare drawings and specify equipment and materials for construction and installation.
• Inspect completed installations for conformance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.
• Produce work products including one-line diagrams, wiring drawings, panel layout drawings, motor schematics, instrument loop sheets, conduit and tray routing drawings, and contractor scope documents.
• Work with systems and equipment grounding requirements (high resistance, building, and isolated grounding).
• Provide on-site startup support.

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Electrical Engineer in the Greenville SC area

Salary range: 140-180k

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

The role involves applying extensive experience to industrial projects, including the design of power distribution, lighting, and grounding systems. Projects range from small facility modifications to complex EPC contracts for heavy industrial processes in pulp and paper, chemicals, food and beverage, consumer products, or pharmaceutical industries. Some travel to project and construction sites will be required.

YOUR IDEAL BACKGROUND:

• Experience with design and installation of medium- and low-voltage distribution equipment, preferably in consulting engineering and construction environments
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NEC, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA)
• Ability to handle onsite plant projects with minimal supervision
• Well organized, with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, operate within budgets, and work directly with client engineers and maintenance teams
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit
• Capability with CAD systems including AutoCAD
• PE license or EIT certificate with the ability to obtain a PE license is preferred but not required
