Position Description:

The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the ongoing growth of the E3M Solutions Engineering team, contributing to both internal turn-key projects and external engineering efforts, including design/build, design/assist, and bid/spec projects.

Technical Responsibilities:
  • Prepares system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics for electrical systems including, but not limited to, the following:
    • Electrical Distribution Systems
    • Grounding and Bonding Systems
    • Lighting & Lighting Controls
    • DDC Controls Systems & VFD/VSDs
    • Generator & Emergency Power Systems
    • Alternative Energy Systems
  • Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications
  • Occasionally visits job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
  • Assist in maintaining standards & tools for engineering
  • Participate in conceptual development meetings with E3M team, clients or contractors
  • Work in R&D efforts on new technologies and opportunities
  • Perform other tasks and items necessary in a small business
Position Requirements:
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or Engineering in Training (EIT
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and energy codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, etc) & Bluebeam Revu
