Job summary

Paragon seeks an Electrical Engineer I to join our Fort Worth, Texas office. The role focuses on design, development, testing and evaluation of equipment used in nuclear safety-related projects, with responsibilities spanning drawings, test plans and documentation.

You’ll work with power and control equipment and collaborate with senior engineers on projects from start to finish, contributing to design reviews and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication at all organization levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to improve processes within quality and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment specifications are met and project scope with engineering rigor.
• Maintain ongoing project requirements and specs for multiple projects.
• Analyze component function for development of test plans.
• Perform design reviews to ensure client requirements and industry standards.
• Create and refine design/test documentation incl. CGD plans, seismic/environmental/EMI tests.
• Coordinate with production to resolve design/testing issues.

Paragon is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join our team in our Fort Worth, Texas office! The Electrical Engineer I provides sound engineering principles in design, development, implementation, testing and evaluation (by analytical or other means) for equipment applied in nuclear safety-related projects. Includes development of design drawings, item test plans, various calculations, and subsequent test reports. The engineer will work with various power and control related equipment such as motor control centers, switchgear, control panels, starters, relays, transformers, circuit breakers, disconnects, as well as many other types of control and power equipment. This role will work on engineering related activities on projects from start to finish and will provide assistance to senior level engineers managing complex projects.

Responsibilities:

• Primaryresponsibilityisto ensurethatequipmenttechnicalspecificationsaremet,thatprojectscopeisperformed withadequateengineering rigorwhilemitigatingprojectriskinordertomaintainprojectscheduleandprovidethe highest quality possible result.
• Maintainongoingprojectrequirementsandspecificationsformultipleprojectsformultipleclients.
• Analysisofcomponentfunctionalanddesignrequirementsfordevelopmentoftestplans.
• Performdesignreviewswiththeengineeringteamtoensurethatthedesignmeetstheclientrequirementsand industry design standards.
• Creationandrefinementofdesignandtestdocumentationtocapturedesignintentanddocumentthekeyaspects necessary to accomplish the quality and documentation goals of a project including:
  • CommercialGradeDedicationplans,equipmenttestplans
  • Seismic,environmental,and/orEMI/RFIqualificationtestplansandreports
  • Discrepancyreportresolution
  • Engineeringcalculations and evaluations
  • Designdrawingpackagecreation(includingSolidworksCAD)
• Createprojectdocumentationtoconveythekeyaspectsofadesigntoaclientormanufacturingpartner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’sdegreeinElectricalEngineeringorequivalentwithindustryexperience(electrical,industrial,electronics, manufacturing) is required.
• Communicateeffectively,bothverballyandwritten.Astrongcandidatemustbeabletocommunicatewithanyandall levels within the organization and shall be able to do so while maintaining professionalism.
• Musthavestrongproblem-solvingskills,capableofproducingcreativeapproachesforgeneratingnew ideasand improving existing processes or products within the bounds of quality and industry regulations.
