Job summary

Valeo is seeking an R&D Engineer in Indiana to drive engineering projects from concept to testing and production support. You will define customer needs, collaborate with engineers to design enhanced system processes, and report test results to ensure on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates hold an Electrical Engineering degree with 1–3 years of experience, are proficient in C, and familiar with ISO/SR/UL standards. Domestic travel to support customers may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time
• Define customer needs and requirements
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processes
• Summarize data and report on test results
• Technical support throughout product lifecycle
• Creating process sheets for for programming/testing products
• Troubleshooting electrical issues found during production and/or warranty
• Update wiring schematics for new and existing products
• Build electrical harnesses and fixtures for product testing
• Coordinate with other departments to maintain project timeline
• Other responsibilities and duties as needed

Requirements and Skills

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 1-3 years job experience
• CAD software (Solidworks, Catia)
• Software development using C programming language
• Knowledgeable in ISO, SAE, UL, etc standards
