Job summary

Strata Clean Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to prepare technical drawings, specifications, and studies of electrical systems for ground-mount utility-scale solar PV projects. You will ensure designs meet AHJ codes and Owner specifications, coordinating with other disciplines.

Your responsibilities include developing electrical layouts in AutoCAD, conducting ETAP studies, supervising electrical designers, and supporting construction during project execution.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited university.
• Registered Professional Engineer license or eligible to obtain within 1 year.
• Minimum four (4) years relevant work experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with NFPA70 (NEC).
• Ability to perform electrical studies using ETAP software.
• Experience with design of solar PV projects (desired).
• Experience with electric utilities (desired).

Responsibilities

Summary:

Electrical Engineer is responsible for preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and studies of electrical systems for ground mount utility-scale solar PV power plants. Ensure that design conforms to AHJ codes and/or Owner specifications. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure design compatibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct Electrical Designers and Engineers to prepare and revise electrical drawings and calculations

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Work is performed in the office and in the field. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 20 pounds. May be exposed to weather elements when in the field. Limited out of town travel may be required.
