Job Overview

Electrical Engineer Full Time – Hybrid Schedule.Pay 90k-100k. Location: Denison, Texas.

Requires a broad knowledge of electrical design and drafting techniques, including schematic and diagram generation; solid knowledge of principles and practices of related technical areas; application of electrical engineering to plant construction methods and materials.

Responsibilities

• Performs assignments independently with guidance from the Department Manager and Senior Designer on unusual or complex problems.
• Provides technical direction to drafters and designers; designs and coordinates work with drafters, designers, and senior designer.
• Reviews job submittal packages and customer‑furnished information to plan and design work, making recommendations.
• Performs panel loading calculations and balancing for load centers, panelboards, and switchboards, including wire, cable, conduit, and tray sizing.
• Composes Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Maintains extensive and routine contact with project shop and field personnel.
• Obeys safety standards of ACS and follows local, state, and federal regulations.
• Handles any additional tasks that may arise.

Technical Requirements

• Experience working with multiple discipline projects.
• Experience with electrical equipment, including generators, switchgear, and UPS systems.
• Good understanding of industry‑standard communication protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a group setting; team oriented, self‑motivated, and results‑driven on short timelines.
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret contract specifications and electrical drawing packages.
• Knowledgeable in National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD 2015 (Electrical 2017 electrical a plus) and/or Mechanical.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD or similar 3D modeling (Revit MEP or similar).
• Excellent Microsoft Office software skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in Accubid or similar estimating software a plus, but not required.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Prefer direct experience with structural steel building fabrication and electrical equipment packaging.
• Knowledgeable in all levels of AutoCAD.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment.
