Our client is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Designer to join their engineering and fabrication shop in the Columbus Ohio location. The Designer will be responsible for designing, and programming industrial electrical panels / cabinets based on specifications outlined per custom project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Rudimentary programing of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and HMIs, Allen-Bradley experience preferred.
- Work with other team members to test and commission projects.
- Create electrical drawings and panel designs including bill of materials.
- Monitor the quality of electrical panels to ensure all workmanship is performed to specifications and standards
- Perform required unit updates and modifications prior to unit shipment as needed.
- Control systems must be compliant with best Electrical practices and required codes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor degree preferred or Associates/technical degree with proven work experience.
- Two years’ experience design of PLC based systems.
- Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC programs.
- Prior experience designing electrical schematics and panels with AutoCAD or equivalent software.
- Ability to work well with a team.
- Willingness to learn.
