Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Civil, Structural or Electrical Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer license; NCEES record preferred.
• 8+ years of electrical utility transmission-line design experience.
• Experience designing overhead transmission lines at 69kV and above.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE; PLS-TOWER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission-line design projects from concept through construction.
• Perform responsible-charge engineering and technical QA/QC.
• Produce and review calculations, plan-and-profile drawings, specifications and bills of materials.
• Complete line routing, structure layouts, sag-tension, clearance, loading and grounding analysis.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, contractors, permitting teams and other engineering disciplines.
• Support proposals, contracts, cost estimates and permitting activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee designers and drafters.
• Provide site and construction-phase engineering support.

Requirements

• Experience with estimating, proposals, project management and construction support
• Strong client-facing, organisational and communication skills.
