Real Staffing is assisting a leading medical device organization in Boston, MA, to hire an Electrical Engineer for R&D and product development.

The role focuses on hands-on hardware development, troubleshooting complex electronic systems, and contributing to patient-impacting technology from concept through testing. 4 days onsite, 1 day remote, 12-month contract with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 1–2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters and lab equipment.
• Experience with PCB design, schematic capture or board-level electronics.
• Product development or hardware engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Support new product development and design improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with R&D engineers to refine medical device technologies.
• Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Build, evaluate, and debug prototypes and electronic assemblies.
• Conduct bench testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters and lab equipment.

We're partnering with a leading global medical device organization seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their growing R&D and Product Development team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who enjoys hands-on hardware development, troubleshooting complex electronic systems, and working on technology that directly impacts patient outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support new product development and design improvement initiatives
• Collaborate closely with R&D engineers to develop and refine medical device technologies
• Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
• Build, evaluate, and debug prototypes and electronic assemblies
• Conduct bench testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other lab equipment
• Support PCB design, schematic capture, and design modifications
• Participate in product verification and validation activities

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (required)

1-2+ years of relevant engineering experience

Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

Hands-on experience with:

• Oscilloscopes
• Multimeters
• Electronic test equipment
• Soldering and board-level work

Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, or board-level electronics

Product development or hardware engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical device experience
• Biomedical engineering background with strong electronics exposure
• Altium experience
• Experience developing or testing electromechanical products
• Academic or professional experience designing, building, or debugging electronics
