Job summary

Solutions AEC LLC in Arizona seeks an Electrical Engineer with 3–10 years of vertical building design experience to design innovative MEP electrical systems for flagship projects. You will create layouts, perform on-site assessments, and prepare drawings for bidding and construction.

You will use Revit, AutoCAD, and Power Tools software, coordinate with architects, civil and structural teams, and manage submittals and procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; P.E. licensure a plus.
• 3–10 years of vertical building design experience in MEP systems.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Power Tools calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems and layouts for complex projects.
• Conduct on-site assessments and document conditions.
• Produce construction drawings and specifications for bidding and construction.
• Coordinate with architects, civil and structural teams, and contractors.
• Assist with bid estimation and equipment sourcing.

What You’ll Do:

• Design Game-Changing Systems: Create innovative electrical systems designs and layouts for top-tier projects.
• Survey and Solve: Conduct on-site assessments, documenting conditions and ensuring contractor installations meet our high standards.
• Deliver Stellar Drawings: Produce precise construction drawings and specifications for bidding and construction.
• Optimize Tools: Leverage design software like Revit and propose enhancements to our design processes.
• Drive Construction Success: Coordinate contractor and equipment submittals, ensuring seamless project execution.
• Estimate and Procure: Assist with bid estimation and equipment sourcing to keep projects on track.
• Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner with architects, civil engineers, structural teams, and contractors to deliver cohesive projects.
• Own the Schedule: Execute projects on time, every time, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Engage On-Site: Conduct periodic site visits and client meetings, with travel as needed to assess facilities and build relationships.

What You Bring:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (P.E. licensure a plus).
• Experience: 3-10 years in vertical building design, with expertise in MEP systems.
• Skills: Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Power Tools calculation software. Strong problem-solving, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Expertise: Experience in Facility Power, Lighting, Telecommunications, Fire Alarm, Access Control, and Security Systems design. Broad knowledge across all project phases, from bidding to completion, is a plus.
• Bonus: Familiarity with LEED documentation, design/build projects, or commissioning processes.
