Role Description

This full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role is based in Alabaster, AL. The Electrical Engineer will design, review, and implement electrical systems and components for industrial applications, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and safety requirements. Daily responsibilities include preparing drawings and documentation, supporting power distribution and control system layouts, and performing calculations and analysis for power systems. The role also involves collaborating with project managers and technicians during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning activities, troubleshooting electrical issues, and providing technical support to customers. The Electrical Engineer will participate in project planning, assist with cost and time estimates, and help maintain quality and performance standards for delivered equipment and services.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity principles, with the ability to apply them to industrial environments.
  • Proficiency in Electrical Design for industrial equipment, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout planning.
  • Experience with Power Distribution systems, including low- and medium-voltage equipment and protective devices.
  • Knowledge of Power Systems analysis, including load calculations, fault studies, and system reliability considerations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE) and industrial safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and equipment manuals.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional project teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design, documentation, and testing.
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments and with commissioning activities is preferred.
