Staffmark Group is seeking an Electrical Electronics Technician in South Bend, IN. This role involves diagnosing, repairing and testing industrial equipment, including PLCs, drives, sensors, and field devices, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will work from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 2nd shift 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., or 3rd shift 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. A high school diploma and 3–5 years of plant maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Be able to troubleshoot PLC logic and read electrical schematics.
• Experience in industrial electronics and maintenance.
• Knowledge of SAP or CMMS is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and test industrial equipment including PLCs, drives and field devices.
• Update and clarify test procedures.
• Help train others to conduct these tests properly.
• Perform preventive and general maintenance on production and facilities equipment.
• Complete assigned work orders and document all tests.
• Troubleshoot and identify root causes; suggest improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Work with outside contractors on miscellaneous installations when needed.

• Include diagnosing, repairing and testing industrial equipment including power service, motor starters, high/low voltage electrical systems PLC's controls, HMI's Networks (ethernet I/P, DeviceNet, DH+ etc.) and electrical field devices (photo eyes, proxes, encoders, limit switches etc.)
• Utilize standard electrical test equipment to perform equipment test.
• Update and clarify test procedures
• Helps train others to conduct these tests properly
• Performing preventive maintenance and general maintenance as required on both production equipment and facilities equipment
• Completing assigned work orders and documenting all tests
• Troubleshoot and identify root cause as well as to recommend improvements on a continuous basis with cross functional teams in a High Performance Organization environment
• Working with outside contractors on miscellaneous installations when needed.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.
• Additional education, certifications, or vocational training may be beneficial depending on the position.

Experience Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of plant maintenance experience
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Commitment to quality, safety, professionalism, and dependable attendance.
• Ability to learn new processes, procedures, equipment, or software as required.
• Be able to troubleshoot existing PLC logic, read electrical schematics, and troubleshoot PLC/Solid State control instruments
• Proficient in the use of applications of test equipment such as multimetersWorking knowledge of Windows
• Working knowledge and field experience with process/programmable controllers and AC/DC drives.
• Industrial control wiring experience
• Possess the ability to read and interpret instrument drawings and control schematics
• Possess knowledge of NEC requirements
• Must be able to work in cross functional teams
• Ability to work overtime daily and on weekends; flexibility with shift hours
• Excellent on-site attendance
• Flexibility with shift and workday assignments to support business needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Training in Industrial Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology or completion of an approved apprenticeship in industrial electrical maintenance or 5-7 years direct applicable experience
• Previous experience in a related industry or similar position is preferred.
• Experience working in fast-paced, customer-focused, manufacturing, warehouse, administrative, or professional environments is beneficial depending on the assignment.
• Relevant certifications, technical training, or specialized skills are considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are well positioned for success as a Electrical Electronics Technician.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar CMMS
