Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking an engineer to write test procedures and plans, interpret results, and drive project completion. You will collaborate with circuit designers, software and systems engineers to ensure BMS/test integrity.

You will read requirements, gather specs for unclear items, run tests, and document pass/fail observations. Hands-on battery testing (10–100 kg) and bench-top setups are included in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience with battery systems and Li-ion BMS is beneficial.
• Familiarity with CAN, CAN J1939, CANopen networks.
• Proficient with standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies).
• Experience using Jira or similar ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Write test procedures and test plans.
• Interpret test results and technician work tasks.
• Drive completion of projects and test plans in a timely manner.
• Participate in writing of test specifications and test reports.
• Read product requirements and technical specifications.
• Work with team to gather specifications for unclear items.
• Run tests listed on test plans according to procedures.
• Document test results, pass/fail observations and measurements.
• Hands on testing of batteries weighing 10–100 kg.
• Collaborate with cross functional team to test systems.
• Test BMS Battery Management System functionality.
• Bench-top testing with PCB and test equipment cluster.
• Debug and diagnose real vs setup problems.
