Job summary

HORIBA Instruments in Troy, MI is seeking an Electrical Dyno Systems Engineer for energy and environment solutions. You will develop electrical specifications for new HORIBA equipment, ensuring designs meet NEC, UL, IEC, IEEE, NFPA and OSHA standards.

You will produce one-line diagrams, control schematics, and panel layouts, and standardize drawings across HORIBA product lines. A Master’s in EE and 10+ years with AutoCAD Electrical are required; strong PLC, E‑Plan and SAP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering required.
• 10+ years of experience in the testing industry or related field.
• 10+ years of experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Knowledge of adjustable speed drive systems.
• Understanding power distribution systems and one-line diagrams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop specs from testing requirements for new equipment.
• Apply NEC/UL/IEC/IEEE/NFPA/OSHA standards to designs.
• Create one-line diagrams, control schematics and panel layouts.
• Standardize drawings across HORIBA global product lines.
