Job summary

BPP Mfg is seeking a mid-level Wiring Designer to create point-to-point wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and schematics for our low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution equipment. You will own drawings from kickoff through release, collaborating with EE leads and project engineers.

You will maintain standards, manage your own schedule, and contribute to process improvements while staying current on relevant NEC/UL/IEEE codes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical drafting experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD with blocks, palettes, and layer management.
• Able to read and interpret single-line diagrams and schematics.
• Working knowledge of NEC, UL 891, UL 1558, and ANSI/IEEE standards.
• Strong attention to detail to catch wire tag mismatches and numbering errors.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to push back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate point-to-point wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and schematics in AutoCAD.
• Manage workload against project schedules and flag risks early.
• Incorporate revisions and as-built feedback into drawings.
• Coordinate with EE leads, project engineers, and PMs on scope and document control.
• Follow drafting conventions for layers, blocks, and wire tagging; flag gaps.
• Participate in drawings reviews as designer of record and peer reviewer.
• Support process improvements within the wiring design group and contribute to checklists and libraries.
• Stay current on NEC, UL 891, UL 1558, and ANSI/IEEE standards and raise questions when needed.
