Job summary

CenterPoint Energy in Houston, TX, seeks a primary contact for customer distribution projects. You will manage the customer account, coordinate from inception to completion, and align resources to meet service commitments while considering safety, costs and code requirements.

You will collaborate across departments and with officials and other utilities, prepare estimates, gather data, and guide project delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree is required.
• Relevant experience with CenterPoint Energy or in the utility industry may substitute for the degree.
• Two years’ prior work experience preferred in electric utility project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with departments, customers, municipalities, outside consulting firms, and other utilities to gather information required to execute projects.
• Coordinates projects from inception to completion while considering safety and code requirements.
• Leads teams to meet customer service commitments and manages cost considerations.
• Performs field inspections for project approvals and service extensions.
• Supports Emergency Operation Plan activation with extended hours as needed.
