Job summary

CenterPoint Energy is offering a Service Consultant Intern position in Houston. You''ll gain hands-on experience in the utility industry while learning to manage customer distribution projects and support critical infrastructure.

You will collaborate with multiple departments and external partners to gather project details, prepare estimates, and understand how we design electrical and/or gas distribution facilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in construction science, management, engineering tech, business or marketing.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Valid driver''s license and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Gather information across departments to execute projects accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with city, county and state entities to service customers.
• Prepare estimates and analyze data for electrical and/or gas distribution facilities.
• Represent the company in service extension negotiations.
• Ensure projects meet timelines and regulatory requirements.
• Review facilities for NESC/NEC compliance.
• Perform field inspections as needed for final project approval.
