Job summary

N Line Electric is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Mead or Loveland, Colorado. The role focuses on accurate estimates for medium-voltage electrical distribution projects, leveraging field knowledge to translate drawings into competitive bids.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of electrical estimating experience, can read complex drawings, and will collaborate with Operations to ensure safe, profitable execution. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of electrical estimating experience.
• Experience with medium-voltage, utility distribution, or industrial electrical construction.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Experience performing labor and material takeoffs and developing labor hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for overhead and underground medium-voltage distribution projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements.
• Perform material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor takeoffs.
• Develop labor hours, crew requirements, production assumptions, and equipment needs.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify project risks, scope gaps, and constructability concerns.
• Prepare competitive proposals with defined scopes, assumptions, and exclusions.
• Participate in bid reviews with leadership and Operations.
• Provide a clear estimating handoff to Project Managers and field leadership.
• Review estimated vs actual performance to improve estimating accuracy.
