Addison Group is seeking an Electrical Distribution Designer to join our team in Texas. The role focuses on the design of both overhead and underground electric distribution facilities, from initial concepts through construction.

The position offers a salary between $100,000 and $140,000 per year, plus benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401k and PTO. The role is based in Houston, with opportunities across San Antonio and Fort Worth at client sites.

Qualifications

• Represent professionally when meeting with property owners, engineering firms, and construction resources.
• Stay abreast of changing technologies, work planning, and design methodologies in Electric Distribution Design.
• Mentor and train staff to transfer design knowledge.
• Proficient in designing overhead and underground distribution facilities.
• Recognize distribution framing and components 4kV–35kV to initiate designs for construction or reconstruction.
• Perform distribution line design calculations for structure loading, guying, geometric angle calculations, conductor sag interpretation, unitized framing design, construction practices and construction safety guidelines.

• Identify distribution framing and components from 4kV to 35kV for construction or reconstruction.
• Perform design calculations for structure loading, guying, geometry, sag interpretation, framing, and safety.
