Description

Primary Responsibility: Responsible for the technical accuracy of all products produced through the Design Studio.


Essential Functions:



  • Ensures accuracy of finished product design, reviewing for completeness, conflict avoidance, and ensuring clients' objectives are being met throughout life cycle.

  • Develops solutions to various engineering problems.

  • Supports the Electrical Practice Lead to ensure high standards of quality, innovative design strategies, and to enhance the technical expertise of all studio staff.

  • Supports the Electrical Practice Lead (also working through Project Managers, as appropriate) to optimize the utilization of the studio staff.

  • Ensure projects are within scope, on schedule, and within budget.

  • Supports the Electrical Practice Lead to recruit new studio staff, recommend staff for promotion and rate increases, oversee their performance evaluations, and ensure the enforcement of company policies, terminating employees who consistently fail to perform to company standards and/or adhere to company policies.

  • Mentors and develops staff at all levels.

  • Adjusts and correlates data, recognizing and addressing discrepancies.

  • Supports the generation of proposals and presentations, providing appropriate data and information and ensuring specifications' accuracy.

  • Ensures accuracy in meeting applicable billing codes.

  • Participates on projects during design, bidding and construction administration.

  • Prepares technical and cost aspects for submissions.

  • Interfaces with existing clients, outside consultants, and vendors.

  • Attends client meetings to discuss job progress.

  • Ensures all production adheres to quality Company Standards.


Secondary Functions:



  • Communicates engineering explanations to non-engineering staff.

  • Performs day-to-day QA/QC functions as necessary.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Minimum: Registered Engineer with a minimum of 10 years' experience.
