Job summary

IPS is seeking an Electrical Director, CM for its Cary, North Carolina office. The role oversees electrical delivery across projects, guiding teams from pre-construction to closeout and supporting EPCMV/CM services sales.

The candidate will manage staffing, alignment to utilization targets, and drive execution excellence in a safety-conscious environment. Responsibilities include coordinating with Preconstruction, Procurement, and Quality teams, managing contracts, and leading change management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in Project Delivery or related discipline.
• Demonstrated leadership experience across industry knowledge and leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of electrical project delivery, including planning, estimating, procurement, construction, and safety.
• Collaborate with Preconstruction, Project Controls, Procurement, Quality, and Safety to allocate resources and support execution.
• Manage contracts and subcontracts to mitigate risk and protect company interests.
• Oversee performance metrics and implement corrective actions to meet project goals.
• Hire, develop, and train Project Delivery staff with alignment to utilization targets.
• Support business development, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.
• Partner with leadership across regions and divisions to drive corporate objectives and pursue opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, systems, and policies.
• Lead change management and analyze work-in-place and resource requirements.
• Participate in site visits, client meetings, and support development of execution strategies.

Education
