Job summary
ManpowerGroup is assisting a Madison, WI-based designer/fabricator of custom electrical utility buildings to hire two Electrical Designers. You will build and review electrical drawings and create wiring diagrams using SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical, ensuring accuracy for customer submittals.
The ideal candidate has a background in Electrical Engineering or related field, hands-on experience with electrical drawings, and knowledge of NEC standards.
Qualifications
- Academic background in electrical engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience with electrical build/systems.
- Experience with electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation in engineering, manufacturing, or construction environments.
- Knowledge of power distribution equipment, breaker panels, disconnects, transfer switches, and cable management products.
- NEC knowledge and code compliance experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and review initial electrical drawing sets for customer submittal.
- Develop wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment schedules using SWE or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Apply engineering judgement for conduit and wire fill according to NEC.
- Review project specifications and communicate impacts or updates to the team.
- Collaborate with project teams to provide technical insights and support issue resolution.
