Job summary

The Electrical Designer at Maverick Power is responsible for creating and maintaining electrical drawing packages for low- and medium-voltage power distribution equipment, including single-line and three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.

The role requires strong CAD drafting skills, experience with SolidWorks Electrical and related tools, and the ability to translate customer requirements into clear manufacturing documentation while coordinating with engineering, purchasing,

Qualifications

• 2+ years creating electrical drawing packages for industrial control, power distribution, switchgear, switchboards, or similar engineered electrical assemblies.
• Experience with SolidWorks Electrical 3D wire routing, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Inventor Electrical, or comparable platforms.
• Experience supporting drawing revisions, BOM development, and manufacturing change implementation in a production environment.
• Experience with PDM/PLM/ERP or similar data management tools, including file check-in/check-out, revision control, and BOM data.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, interconnection diagrams, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings for power distribution equipment.
• Develop complete drawing packages for manufacturing, quality, project management, and customer submittals based on project specifications, BOMs, and customer requirements.
• Produce panel and equipment layouts with component spacing, routing, accessibility, and manufacturability in mind.
• Use CAD tools such as SolidWorks Electrical Schematic/3D to create, manage, and maintain electrical documentation and design data.
• Route wires, cables, and harnesses in 3D environments to support layout coordination and build accuracy.
• Maintain electrical symbols, manufacturer parts, and component libraries to support standardized design output.
• Develop and maintain standard drawing sets, templates, and design details for common configurations.
• Interpret customer drawings and electrical requirements and translate them into Maverick drawing standards and manufacturing-ready documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, purchasing, quality, and manufacturing to resolve design questions and implement changes.
