Job summary

Maverick Power is hiring an Electrical Designer to create and maintain electrical drawing packages for low- and medium-voltage equipment. You'll develop single-line and schematic diagrams, 3D layouts, and BOMs to support switchgear, switchboards, and related assemblies.

Ideal candidates have strong CAD skills (SolidWorks Electrical and AutoCAD Electrical) and experience converting customer requirements into production-ready documentation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience creating electrical drawing packages for industrial control, power distribution, switchgear or related assemblies.
• Experience with revisions, BOM development, and manufacturing change in a production environment.
• Familiar with data management tools (PDM/ERP) and document control.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings for power distribution equipment.
• Develop complete drawing packages for manufacturing, quality, project management, and customer submittals.
• Produce panel and equipment layouts with attention to spacing, accessibility, routing and manufacturability.
• Route wires, cables and harnesses in 3D environments as needed for layout and build accuracy.
• Maintain electrical symbols, parts libraries, and standard design templates.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, purchasing, quality and manufacturing to resolve design questions and implement changes.
