Job summary

Maverick Power is seeking an Electrical Designer to develop and maintain electrical drawing packages for low- and medium-voltage power distribution equipment. You will create single-line and schematic diagrams, wiring layouts, and BOMs, using SolidWorks Electrical and other CAD tools to ensure accurate, manufacturing-ready documentation.

The role requires hands-on CAD experience, attention to detail, and collaboration with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to meet customer

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience creating electrical drawing packages for industrial control, power distribution, switchgear, or similar assemblies.
• Experience with CAD tools for schematics and electromechanical design.
• Familiarity with BOM development and change implementation in production environments.
• Experience with data management tools (PDM/ERP) and file check-in/check-out.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise single-line, three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts for power distribution equipment.
• Develop complete drawing packages for manufacturing, quality, project management, and customer submittals.
• Produce panel and equipment layouts with attention to component spacing and manufacturability.
• Use CAD tools to manage electrical documentation, 3D routing models, and design data.
• Route wires and harnesses in 3D environments to support layout and build accuracy.
• Create and maintain electrical symbols and component libraries for standardized output.
• Maintain standard drawing sets and templates for common configurations.
• Interpret customer drawings and translate requirements into Maverick drawing standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, quality, and manufacturing to resolve design questions and implement changes.
• Support BOM development and validation to align ERP, schematics, and manufacturing docs.
