Job summary

Stantec in Chicago, IL is seeking an Electrical Designer early in their career to join the engineering group. The role focuses on producing project deliverables that meet standards and performing basic technical tasks under supervision.

You will work with a team to develop design documents and reports, apply basic engineering concepts in structural design, coordinate with other teams, and support senior engineers using REVIT and CAD to create production outputs.

Qualifications

Your Opportunity

The Electrical Designer will launch his or her career as a Designer in the engineering group. This role prepares project deliverables that accord with standards and performs basic technical tasks.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Works with a team of technical staff to develop project deliverables ranging from design documents to technical reports.
• Applies knowledge of basic engineering concepts, principles, practices, and procedures for structural design, analysis, and investigation.
• Coordinates tasks with other teams across the firm and outside sources.
• Assists project engineer with more advanced technical activities.
• Uses appropriate technology and software (i.e. REVIT and CAD among others) to prepare project deliverables and production tasks assigned by senior project engineer or project manager.
