Job summary

Gulf Companies in Houston, TX seeks a Sr. Electrical/Instrumentation Designer (Mid-Level) to perform detail design within the Electrical/Instrumentation discipline, including One-Line Diagrams, E/I plans, sections and wiring diagrams.

Requires 5+ years CAD experience (including 3D), AutoCAD 2016, and knowledge of codes. High school diploma with associate degree preferred. This is an office-based role with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design experience drafting One-Line Diagrams, E/I plans and wiring diagrams.
• Minimum 5 years CAD experience including 3D design.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
• AutoCAD 2016 experience.

Essential Functions

• Perform complex designs and layouts of One-Line Diagrams, E/I Plans, Sections & Details, Wiring Diagrams and Schematic Diagrams utilizing CAD hardware and software.
• Review vendor drawings and other documents.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of design experience in a drafting environment developing One Line Diagrams, Electrical/Instrument plans, sections and details, schematics diagrams and wiring diagrams.
• Minimum of 5 years of CAD experience, including 3D Design.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
• AutoCAD 2016.

Education

High school diploma. Associate's degree or certification from technical trade school preferred.
