Job summary

Gulf Companies in Houston, TX is seeking a mid-level Senior Electrical/Instrumentation Designer to perform detail design within the Electrical/Instrumentation discipline. You will create and review technical drawings using CAD tools for one-line diagrams, E/I plans, sections and wiring diagrams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of drafting experience, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD 2016) and familiarity with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years design experience in a drafting environment.
• 5+ years CAD experience, including 3D design.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.

Position Title: Sr. Electrical/Instrumentation Designer (Mid-Level)

The Senior Electrical/Instrumentation Designer (mid-level) is responsible for performing detail design activities within the Electrical/Instrumentation discipline.

Essential Functions

• Perform complex designs and layouts of One-Line Diagrams, E/I Plans, Sections & Details, Wiring Diagrams and Schematic Diagrams utilizing CAD hardware and software.
• Review vendor drawings and other documents.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of design experience in a drafting environment developing One Line Diagrams, Electrical/Instrument plans, sections and details, schematics diagrams and wiring diagrams.
• Minimum of 5 years of CAD experience, including 3D Design.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
• AutoCAD 2016.

Education

High school diploma. Associate's degree or certification from technical trade school preferred.
