Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a Designer II to design intermediate building systems, prepare design documents, and perform engineering calculations in coordination with project teams. You will mentor less experienced designers and contribute to project delivery.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and internal teams, with duties spanning drafting, design, and coordination across disciplines. Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering and 3 years of relevant experience or 6 years with high school diploma or equivalent.
• FE exam preferred; additional certifications such as BEMP, CPD, CDP, NICET, RCDD, LEED or WELL are preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of engineering design, codes, and standards; proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Responsibilities

• Performs calculations and designs basic to intermediate design systems with minimal supervision.
• Prepares system layouts, detailed drawings and schematics.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
• Provides technical guidance to others when appropriate.
• May support project coordination and client communications.
