Job summary

Electrical Engineers and Electrical Designers are responsible for the design, coordination, documentation, and delivery of electrical building systems for various environments.

Depending on experience level, individuals may perform engineering calculations, prepare and review design documents, coordinate with project teams, manage tasks or projects, provide technical leadership, mentor others, and support business development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 1 year of experience or 4 years with a high school diploma.
• FE exam completion is preferred.
• Certifications aligned with the technical field are preferred (e.g., BEMP, CPD, CDP, NICET, RCDD).
• Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares design documents under supervision; develops layouts, drawings, and schematics.
• Assists with engineering calculations and basic design tasks; researches products and codes.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance and participates in field verification.
• May participate in business development and attend client or industry events.
• Visits job sites for observation and professional development opportunities.
• Expands knowledge in discipline; uses office software effectively.
