Job summary

Jobot seeks an electrical controls engineer to design and assemble electrical control panels for packaging machinery in Wisconsin. You will specify Allen‑Bradley hardware, configure MCCs, VFDs, IO cards, and power supplies, and design PLC-based control systems with Remote IO Panels.

Travel ~25%. A two-year degree in electrical technology is the baseline; hands‑on experience with a controls integrator or OEM is valued.

Qualifications

• A two-year degree in an electrical technology field is the baseline, though relevant hands‑on experience with a controls integrator or OEM carries equal weight.
• Some travel required — typically under 25%.

Responsibilities

• Designing and assembling electrical control panels under 480V for packaging machinery
• Specifying and configuring Allen‑Bradley hardware — MCCs, VFDs, IO cards, power supplies, Ethernet switches
• Designing integrated control systems using PLCs networked to Remote IO Panels
• Specifying instruments used in packaging and processing environments — photo eyes, proximity switches, flow and pressure transmitters, solenoid valves
• Designing pneumatic systems and sizing components appropriately
• Working in AutoCAD Electrical
• Commissioning and de-bugging systems in the field after installation
• Applying NEC and UL requirements for industrial control panels
