Job summary

DC Engineering is seeking an Electrical Designer / EIT Engineer to join our team in Meridian, Idaho or Missoula, MT. The role is ideal for an EIT seeking hands-on design experience or an experienced designer with 5+ years of drafting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain shortly after hire.
• Interest in building systems design and consulting engineering.
• 5+ years of electrical drafting and design experience (Designer Track) with Revit/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and layout of electrical power, lighting, and related building systems.
• Prepare and revise electrical drawings, plans, schedules, one-line diagrams, and panel schedules using Revit/AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, architects, and other disciplines to develop complete construction documents.
• Interpret sketches, markups, calculations, and technical notes to produce accurate drawing packages.
• Perform field verification and site visits as required.
• Maintain project documentation, drawing revisions, and design records.
• Support quality control and adherence to drafting standards.
• Contribute to project templates and drafting standards development.
