Job summary

nVent in Madison, WI, seeks an electrical engineer to design, document, and review electrical systems meeting customer specifications and applicable codes. You will create wiring diagrams and layouts using SolidWorks Electrical and AutoCAD Electrical, collaborating with project teams for timely delivery.

Responsibilities include applying NEC rules, performing calculations, and coordinating with CAD technicians to support build intent and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Electrical Engineering or related technical field or equivalent hands-on experience with electrical build or systems.
• Experience with electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation in engineering/manufacturing/construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical codes; attention to detail in build documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build electrical systems that meet customer specs, standards, and NEC codes.
• Create and review wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment schedules.
• Use SWE or AutoCAD Electrical to develop diagrams.
• Perform calculations and layouts including conduit and wire fill per NEC.
• Review specifications and communicate impacts to the project team.
