Job summary

Aquent in Houston seeks an Electrical Designer/Drafter to develop detailed electrical drawings, 3D models, and BOMs for hyperscale data center modules and modular infrastructure projects. You will deliver high-quality, code-compliant electrical deliverables and collaborate closely with engineers and management.

The role requires expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, along with Navisworks coordination, ERP familiarity, and strong QA/QC adherence.

Qualifications

Education: Technical Certification or Associate Degree in Electrical Design, Drafting, or related engineering discipline.
Experience: 5–15 years in modular EPC projects, high-density data centers, or hyperscale environments.
3D CAD: Proficiency in SolidWorks (Mandatory) and AutoCAD.
Model coordination: Navisworks Manager / Freedom experience.
Tools: Proficient with PDF editors and MS Office 365.
Codes: Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEC, IBC, OSHA.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and finalize detailed electrical drawing packages (schematics, layouts, wiring diagrams, I/O schedules).
Prepare bulk MTOs and detailed BOMs independently.
Assist in troubleshooting by simulating layouts in design tools.
Create FAT sequences and installation procedures for customer submission.
Review vendor data and supervise outsourced design work.
