Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking an Electrical Designer in Austin, TX, to create electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations across design phases. You will develop layouts for power, lighting, and low-voltage systems and produce coordinated 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD tools.

Collaborate with engineers, modelers, and other disciplines to meet deadlines, review submittals, and participate in site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or architectural engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of electrical design or building systems experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• NCEES record maintenance for licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations through design phases.
• Develop electrical layouts for power, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
• Produce 2D drawings and 3D electrical models using CAD tools.
• Support submittals reviews, RFIs, and site visits.
• Coordinate with engineers, modelers, and other disciplines to meet deadlines.
