Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in Seattle is seeking an Electrical Designer to support the design and delivery of electrical power and lighting systems on civic, education, manufacturing, transit and commercial projects. Under close supervision you will perform Revit/AutoCAD design, basic calculations, field work and data gathering, collaborating with other disciplines to meet codes and internal standards.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of building projects; hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering/design on Buildings projects is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Conducts basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and other similar materials.
• Performs Revit and/or AutoCAD design for the electrical discipline using knowledge of relevant software programs.
• Works with architectural, interior, and other engineering disciplines in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer/ designer.
• Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer/ designer.
• Performs basic calculations to analyze and design individual building electrical system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
• Assists with engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
• Assists with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the senior engineering staff.
