Job summary

Hyper Recruitment Solutions Ltd invites applications for a CAD Designer to join our client in the electrical and control systems sector. You'll develop detailed electrical layouts, schematics, and P&IDs, using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical to meet project specs.

You'll work within a collaborative, employee-owned environment with over 40 years of history, contributing to projects across construction, manufacturing, and control system design while upholding NFPA and NEC standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Computer Aided Drafting/Design in electrical or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical on relevant projects.
• Knowledge of NFPA and NEC standards and applying them to designs.

Responsibilities

• Draw electrical layouts for buildings, panels, lighting, and power using standard symbols for projects.
• Modify client drawings using AutoCAD including general arrangements, wiring diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Apply knowledge of construction, manufacturing, and control system design to CAD outputs.
• Collaborate with project team for engineering support and problem-solving.
• Ensure designs adhere to industry standards and client specifications, maintaining accuracy and quality.

Role Overview

We are currently looking for a CAD Designer to join a leading engineering company based in the electrical and control systems sector. Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Drawing electrical layouts for buildings, panels, lighting, and power using standard symbols for specific projects.


• Modifying client drawings using AutoCAD, including general arrangements, wiring diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.


• Applying technical knowledge in construction, manufacturing, control system design, and electrical engineering.


• Collaborating with the project team for engineering support and problem-solving.


• As the CAD Designer you will ensure designs adhere to industry standards and client specifications, maintaining accuracy and quality throughout the development process.

Role Requirements

• A Degree or higher level in Computer Aided Drafting/Design in electrical or an equivalent qualification.


• Proven industry experience with tools and parts necessary for specific projects, including expertise in AutoCAD 2024 or higher and AutoCAD Electrical.


• A working knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity and the ability to apply NFPA and NEC standards to designs.
